SIPSIS Ouagadougou

SIPSIS – the International Exhibition for Health Professionals & Care Integration – is a biennial, highly specialised trade fair that has established itself as a key platform for the integration of healthcare, care services and innovation across Africa. Open exclusively to professionals, the event brings together stakeholders from every part of the health ecosystem – including medical practitioners, nursing professionals, health policymakers, NGO representatives, researchers, and providers of medical and healthcare technologies.

The exhibition is organised by L’Association Kug-Laaga, a non-profit organisation based in Burkina Faso, which is dedicated to advancing an equitable, accessible, and innovative healthcare system on the African continent. The event takes place at the Centre International de Conférences (CIC), located in the heart of Ouagadougou’s modern Ouaga 2000 district. The venue’s architecture – inspired by the traditional African calabash – symbolises the fusion of heritage and innovation.

SIPSIS offers a high-level professional environment that addresses current challenges in healthcare. Key themes include the integration of traditional African medicine into modern health systems, digital health innovation, strengthening nursing capabilities, knowledge exchange, and global health strategies. Exhibits span a wide range of products and services, including medical technology, pharmaceuticals, assistive care devices, education and training programmes, e-health solutions, and community-based health services.

A distinctive feature of SIPSIS is its interactive format: hands-on training sessions, practical workshops, expert conferences, academic panels, and insightful site visits to local health facilities all provide delegates with first-hand exposure to proven approaches and best practices.
