The Salon de l’Agriculture Nouvelle-Aquitaine is the most important regional agricultural fair in western France. Held annually at the Parc des Expositions in Bordeaux, it is organized by BEAM – Bordeaux Events And More, in close collaboration with the network of Chambers of Agriculture of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
This fair is much more than a simple product exhibition: it offers a unique platform that showcases the diversity and innovative strength of regional agriculture — appealing to both industry professionals and the general public.
Key themes include animal breeding, food, sustainable farming, the environment, and energy. Special emphasis is placed on educational programs and the promotion of young talent in the agricultural sector. On an exhibition area of over 10,000 m², visitors can experience the presentation of more than 400 cattle, 300 horses, and 100 sheep — including breeding competitions, sheep shearing demonstrations, and herding dog performances. The fair vividly combines agricultural practice with in-depth knowledge-sharing — for farmers, breeders, students, and anyone interested in the future of agriculture.
A major attraction is the Marché des Producteurs, where local producers present their specialties. The culinary offerings range from cheese, cured meats, and duck products to oysters, honey, wines, and Armagnac. The tasting experience is enhanced by live cooking shows featuring renowned regional chefs and the Comptoir des Vins, which offers a curated selection of award-winning wines for sampling. This creates a flavorful link between agriculture and regional identity — deeply rooted in the culture of Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Special thematic areas such as Aquitanima (cattle breeding), the Journées Ovines (sheep farming), and Equitaine (horse breeding and equestrian sports) bring the expertise of each sector to life in an engaging and hands-on way. Alongside products and animals, these zones also focus on career paths and training opportunities — with the aim of inspiring young people to pursue a career in agriculture.
The majority of exhibitors come from sectors including agriculture, food processing, viticulture, livestock breeding, environmental technology, and renewable energy. The audience is just as diverse: farmers, winemakers, gastronomy professionals, trainees, families, and tourists all find relevant content and engaging offerings.
The venue — the modern Parc des Expositions — is conveniently located and easily accessible by car or public transport. Situated close to the city center, Bordeaux provides the perfect setting for a trade fair that combines agriculture with quality of life, innovation with tradition, and regional identity with international appeal.
The Salon agriculture nouvelle-aquitaine will take place on 6 days from Saturday, 24. May to Thursday, 29. May 2025 in Bordeaux.
