ScotHot is Scotland’s premier trade fair for food, beverages, hospitality, and tourism. Held every two years at the SEC Scottish Events Campus in Glasgow, it has established itself as an essential platform for industry professionals since its inception in 1974. The name ScotHot, short for Scottish Hospitality, highlights the event’s strong focus on the gastronomy and tourism sectors.
The trade fair is organized by 365 Events, a renowned event management company specializing in exhibitions for the hospitality, gastronomy, and food industries.
ScotHot showcases a wide range of products and services. Alongside high-quality regional foods and both national and international beverages, the fair presents cutting-edge kitchen technologies, hotel and restaurant supplies, and digital solutions tailored to the industry. Manufacturers, suppliers, and service providers from the food production, gastronomy, hospitality, beverage, and tourism sectors use this platform to introduce their latest products to a professional audience.
A defining feature of ScotHot is its deep connection to Scottish culture and economy. The fair actively supports regional producers, offering them a platform to present their artisanal specialties through events such as the Scottish Regional Foods Market. Additionally, the Great Taste Market, organized by the Guild of Fine Food, showcases award-winning food products from Scotland and beyond.
Beyond the exhibition spaces, ScotHot features an extensive supporting program that includes expert talks, interactive formats, and competitions. The STA Spotlight Stage, curated in collaboration with the Scottish Tourism Alliance, focuses on key industry topics, offering insights into market trends, discussing challenges, and presenting forward-thinking concepts. The Liquid Academy Live section is dedicated to beverage innovations, where sommeliers, bartenders, and industry professionals unveil their latest creations and share their expertise. A particular highlight is the Caledonian Bartenders Cup, in which 24 Scottish bartenders compete for the prestigious title.
Another major attraction is the Scottish Culinary Championships, where over 250 chefs compete in various disciplines to showcase their culinary skills. Visitors can not only witness thrilling live competitions but also admire impressive edible artwork in the Culinary Art Exhibition. The event is further enriched by the ScotHot Innovation Awards, which recognize the industry’s most groundbreaking products and set new benchmarks for future developments.
ScotHot is aimed at professionals from the hospitality, gastronomy, food production, beverage, and tourism industries. Restaurant owners, hotel directors, caterers, retailers, and investors attend the event to network with leading experts, establish valuable business connections, and discover pioneering trends shaping their industries.
