Seafood4Africa is the only trade fair of its kind dedicated specifically to the sustainable development of Africa’s fisheries, aquaculture and marine economy. Held biennially at the Palais des Congrès in Dakhla, a coastal city in Morocco and an emerging hub of the Blue Economy, the event serves as a key platform for the continent. It is organised by FENIP (Fédération Nationale des Industries de Transformation et de Valorisation des Produits de la Pêche), Morocco’s national federation for the fish processing and value-added seafood industries, whose expertise and networks have shaped an event of continental significance.
With a clear thematic focus and strong relevance to pressing economic, environmental and technological issues, Seafood4Africa is far more than a conventional trade fair. It positions itself as a cross-sectoral forum for innovation, sustainable investment and international collaboration across the entire marine value chain. The spotlight is firmly on forward-looking topics such as sustainable fishing practices, modern aquaculture ventures and decarbonisation strategies – highlighting where Africa’s opportunities lie and how they can be translated into action.
At its core, the event promotes the responsible use of marine resources and the development of efficient systems in processing, logistics and market access. Emerging technologies and digital solutions are helping reshape the sector, alongside efforts to strengthen local value creation and enhance the global competitiveness of African producers. The fair brings together stakeholders from across the spectrum – from research institutions and start-ups to SMEs and international corporations.
Exhibitors showcase products and services spanning fisheries, aquaculture, processing, packaging, cold chain logistics, digitalisation, trade, equipment, marine agriculture, sustainable technologies and renewable energy solutions. The audience comprises a high-calibre mix of entrepreneurs, investors, technology providers, government representatives, scientists and NGOs from across Africa and beyond – providing fertile ground for business development and global partnerships.
Seafood4Africa is primarily aimed at professionals from Africa, Europe and the Global South, particularly those working in the seafood industry, food processing, trade, logistics, research, environmental policy and international development.
A key highlight is the accompanying expert forum, featuring keynote talks, panel discussions and B2B matchmaking sessions. These create tangible momentum for partnerships, investment opportunities and policy recommendations.
Set against the backdrop of the Atlantic coastline, the Palais des Congrès Dakhla is easily accessible via Dakhla Airport. The city is widely recognised as a model for sustainable development, marine economy and international exchange – offering the ideal setting for a trade fair that opens up new horizons for Africa’s Blue Economy.
Visitors and exhibitors meet for the 2nd time on the Seafood4Africa on 3 days from Wed., 04.02.2026 to Fri., 06.02.2026 in Dakhla.
