The Smart Factory is a specialized trade fair dedicated entirely to the future of industrial production. At its core are intelligent manufacturing systems, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0. As an integral part of ITM Industry Europe—one of the most significant industrial trade fairs in Central and Eastern Europe—it brings together a wide range of specialist sectors under one roof and makes technological innovation tangible and accessible. The abbreviation ITM stands for "Innovations, Technologies, Machines."
The Smart Factory takes place annually at the Poznań International Fairgrounds in the Polish city of Poznań—one of the country’s most modern venues, centrally located and easily accessible. The event is organized by Grupa MTP, Poland’s leading trade fair organizer, renowned for its strong networks, high level of professionalism, and effective connections between national and international industry players.
The trade fair goes beyond discussion by showcasing practical, market-ready solutions for key future topics such as digital twins, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, automation, robotics, additive manufacturing, and energy efficiency. Technological advancements like interconnected production systems, intelligent robotics, smart software solutions, 3D printing, and sustainable manufacturing technologies illustrate how the “factory of the future” is already becoming a reality today.
A highlight of the event is the series of accompanying conferences and workshops—especially the Industry Next Congress, which brings together decision-makers from industry, science, and politics. In this practical forum, pressing challenges such as disrupted supply chains, geopolitical shifts, and resource availability are addressed and explored. Live demonstrations and innovation showcases further enhance the event, providing tangible insights into technological concepts and delivering real value to professional attendees.
Exhibitors represent a wide range of industries, including mechanical engineering, automation and electrical engineering, and materials processing. The expert audience is composed primarily of engineers, developers, technicians, and executives—from sectors such as automotive, metalworking, construction, energy, medical technology, and agriculture. Their shared mission: to make production processes more efficient, more digital, and more future-ready.
Poznań is regarded as the economic hub of western Poland, boasting excellent infrastructure. The city is well connected by rail, road, and its international airport. The fairgrounds impress with their modern facilities and central location—making them an ideal venue for international business meetings.
The Smart Factory is more than just a trade fair: it is an experiential space for future-focused technologies, a hub for innovators, and a showcase for the industry of tomorrow.
The Smart Factory in Poznań took place from Tuesday, 03. June to Friday, 06. June 2025.
