Directly at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, one of the largest career fairs - the TECONOMY - takes place for students from the Upper Austria region. At this annual event, national and international companies are represented and offer the opportunity to inform oneself about future career possibilities, internships, or paid final theses. Participation in the fair is completely free for everyone! In addition to the conventional fair activities, there are a variety of program points on the day of the fair to get in contact with companies: The "Speed Meeting" is a short initiative conversation with a company of one's own choice. For the young entrepreneurs among the visitors, the "Start-Up Corner" is an opportunity to exchange ideas with successful start-up founders and employees from Upper Austria. The "TEC Talks" offer companies the opportunity to present themselves to a student audience with a presentation and a short Q&A. Finally, on the day of the fair, the "Job Wall" with open positions from the participating companies and the "TEC Snack," a buffet for interim strengthening on a long fair day, are offered. The fair audience includes all students of the Johannes Kepler University Linz and the Universities of Applied Sciences of Upper Austria. The fair is organized by IAESTE. In addition to our exchange program, through which we enable interested students worldwide to gain international experience in the form of internships, we also want to help get a foothold in the working world. This fair creates the optimal framework conditions for that and, therefore, enjoys an excellent reputation throughout Austria. The TECONOMY career fairs are not only held in Linz but also in Vienna, Graz, and Leoben, where we also welcome a large number of companies and motivated students every year.
The TECONOMY in Linz took place on Tuesday, 25. March 2025.
