THERMAL ENGINEERING JAPAN Tokyo
15. - 17. July 2026 | Trade fair for thermal analysis, design and management
THERMAL ENGINEERING JAPAN is Japan’s leading – and only – trade exhibition dedicated exclusively to thermal analysis, thermal design and thermal management. As a highly specialised industry platform, it brings together developers, engineers, research institutions and decision-makers working on innovative solutions to meet the growing demands placed on modern high-performance products.
The exhibition is held annually during the summer months at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan’s largest and most prominent exhibition and convention centre, located in the capital city of Tokyo. It forms an integral part of TECHNO-FRONTIER, one of Asia’s leading industrial trade shows for advanced technologies in electronics, mechatronics, drive systems and system development. The event is organised by the Japan Management Association (JMA), a long-established organisation that has promoted knowledge exchange and technology transfer between industry, academia and business for decades and is regarded as one of Japan’s most respected exhibition organisers.
THERMAL ENGINEERING JAPAN focuses on innovative solutions for the thermal design of electronic and industrial systems. As power densities continue to increase, devices become more compact and energy-efficiency requirements grow ever more stringent, effective thermal management has become increasingly important. It plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, service life and performance of modern products. The exhibition therefore covers the entire thermal management value chain, from preventing and reducing heat generation through to cooling and heat dissipation technologies, as well as simulation and analysis methods.
Products and technologies on display include heat sinks, thermal interface materials, thermal conductive films and pastes, heat dissipation materials, fan and blower systems, liquid and water-cooling solutions, thermoelectric devices, and both passive and active cooling technologies. The exhibition offering is further enhanced by advanced testing and measurement equipment, powerful thermal design software, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermal analysis solutions. Exhibitors also showcase thermography systems, temperature measurement and evaluation equipment, as well as services such as technical consulting, prototype evaluation and engineering support. As a result, the exhibition provides a comprehensive overview of the latest technologies for applications in which heat management is critical to functionality and safety.
Exhibitors include manufacturers of cooling and thermal management systems, producers of thermal interface materials and electronic components, suppliers of simulation software and measurement equipment, research institutes, and specialised engineering service providers. Strong representation comes from the electronics, automotive, aerospace, machinery and plant engineering sectors, as well as the semiconductor, energy and telecommunications industries.
Visitors primarily come from research and development, product design, engineering, manufacturing and quality management. Engineers, development managers, project leaders and technical decision-makers from sectors including electronics, automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, telecommunications and energy technology attend the exhibition to discover new technologies, identify solutions to thermal challenges and establish international business contacts.
One of the exhibition’s distinctive features is its concentrated showcase of highly specialised technologies often referred to as “invisible design”. Although thermal management solutions are usually hidden within the finished product, they are essential for achieving more compact designs, higher performance, longer product lifecycles and improved energy efficiency. Alongside the exhibition, a comprehensive programme of technical presentations, seminars and expert forums provides insights into the latest developments, research findings and future trends in thermal management.
The venue, Tokyo Big Sight, is located in the modern Ariake district on the man-made island of Odaiba in Tokyo Bay. Internationally recognised for its distinctive architecture and excellent infrastructure, the exhibition centre is easily accessible via the Yurikamome Line, the Rinkai Line and direct bus services from Haneda and Narita airports. Situated in one of the world’s most innovative metropolitan regions, Tokyo Big Sight provides an ideal setting for a trade exhibition dedicated to the future of thermal engineering and thermal management technologies.
