Vintage Car & Parts Market (Oldtimer & Teilemarkt) Cottbus

The “Oldtimer & Teilemarkt” trade fair has been a fixture on the East German classic vehicle calendar since its launch in 2011. Its name succinctly reflects the concept: a specialist marketplace for historic vehicles and, above all, for parts, accessories and technical equipment – precisely what restorers, collectors and enthusiast mechanics are looking for.

Once a year, the grounds of the Cottbus Airfield Museum are transformed into a key meeting point for devotees of classic motoring. The event is organised by Projektzentrum Dresden, which runs several classic car and parts fairs across Germany and has established the Cottbus edition as one of Brandenburg’s regional highlights.

At the heart of the event is the autojumble, offering a wide and in some cases hard-to-find range of stock. Original spare parts and reproduction components are available for cars, motorcycles, tractors and commercial vehicles. Particular emphasis is placed on pre-war vehicles, classic Eastern Bloc models and historic military vehicles. The range is complemented by tools, restoration materials, specialist literature, accessories and technical components. Complete assemblies and rare workshop clearance items also feature from time to time. For owners of classic and modern classic vehicles, the fair provides one of the few opportunities to inspect and compare sought-after parts in person and to speak directly with specialist dealers.

Another key feature is the open vehicle meet, where owners can display their restored or well-preserved original vehicles. For one day, the site becomes a blend of autojumble, exhibition and community gathering. Historic cars, American vehicles, tractors, military machinery and rare commercial vehicles stand side by side across the airfield.

Exhibitors represent a broad cross-section of the sector, including specialist parts dealers, restoration workshops, garage equipment and tool suppliers, agricultural machinery dealers and vendors specialising in militaria. Private sellers are also welcome to trade without extensive formalities. Visitors include collectors, restorers, workshop owners, dealers, agricultural machinery enthusiasts and private classic car owners seeking specific components or looking to expand their network within the scene.

The museum’s spacious outdoor grounds provide ample room for trade stands, vehicle displays and visitor parking. The venue is easily accessible both by car and via Cottbus’s transport links. Combining professional focus, a distinctive setting and a highly specialised offering, the “Oldtimer & Teilemarkt” has become a firmly established date in the spring calendar for many within the classic vehicle community.
