The West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) is an annual trade fair that has established itself as the leading platform for the automotive industry in West Africa since its launch in 2019. Organized by BtoB Events Ltd., a UK-based company specializing in international business-to-business events, WAAS aims to foster business development and international partnerships. It provides companies from around the world with a valuable opportunity to engage with the rapidly growing automotive sector in Nigeria and the broader West African region.
The event takes place at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, Nigeria — a modern venue located in the economically vital Victoria Island business district. This prime location offers excellent infrastructure and proximity to Nigeria’s commercial hub, the largest economy in Africa.
WAAS is exclusively open to trade professionals and brings together international suppliers, dealers, and manufacturers from all areas of the automotive industry. Key topics include spare parts and components such as batteries, brakes, body parts, engines, transmissions, tires, tools, lubricants, and advanced vehicle diagnostic systems. The aftermarket and maintenance sectors are also central to the event, especially in terms of supplying high-quality products to repair and service providers. Additionally, the focus on electric mobility is steadily increasing, with growing attention to the market potential for electric vehicles in West Africa.
More than just a showcase, the exhibition serves as a driver of technological innovation. Companies present their latest developments in vehicle technology, manufacturing, and maintenance. A core mission of WAAS is to promote technology transfer and support local production. For example, showcasing spare parts made in Nigeria contributes to strengthening the domestic industry and reducing dependence on imports.
An extensive program of workshops, live demonstrations, expert forums, and networking events complements the exhibition. This supporting agenda encourages professional exchange and the formation of long-term business relationships. As such, WAAS serves as a key meeting point for decision-makers and professionals in vehicle manufacturing, maintenance, safety, accessories, and financial services.
With thousands of visitors and exhibitors from across the region and beyond, the West Africa Automotive Show is recognized as a highly specialized industry gathering that not only presents products but also shapes the future of mobility in West Africa.
The West Africa Automotive Show (WAAS) will take place on 3 days from Tuesday, 13. May to Thursday, 15. May 2025 in Lagos.
