Automechanika Istanbul is an international trade fair for the automotive supply industry, held annually since 2007 at the Tüyap Fair Convention & Congress Center in Istanbul. As the most important event of its kind in Turkey and the Middle East, it serves as a key platform for innovation, business development, and technology transfer within the automotive sector. The fair is organized by Messe Frankfurt Istanbul, a subsidiary of the globally active Messe Frankfurt Group, which uses this format to promote international networking and facilitate access to the Eurasian market.

Automechanika Istanbul is part of the globally renowned Automechanika trade fair series, dedicated to the automotive aftermarket and supply industry. This series is organized by Messe Frankfurt and includes events in major cities such as Frankfurt – the flagship and origin of the format – as well as Shanghai, Dubai, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, and others.

The fair is exclusively open to trade visitors, including manufacturers, distributors, workshop operators, and service providers. It offers a specialized platform for showcasing new technologies, marketing products, initiating partnerships, and exchanging insights on current industry trends. Thematically, Automechanika Istanbul aligns with global developments in the automotive industry and covers a broad spectrum of topics – from traditional areas such as parts and components (e.g., engines, transmissions, electronics, bodywork) and repair and maintenance (workshop equipment, diagnostic tools, lubricants), to future-oriented fields such as alternative powertrains, vehicle connectivity, digitalization, telematics, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

A particular focus is placed on electromobility, hybrid drives, and charging technologies, highlighting the fair’s role as a showcase for sustainable mobility solutions. Specialized topics such as car hacking, vehicle customization, tire and wheel technologies, as well as car washing and care, are also included.

Automechanika Istanbul is closely connected to Turkey’s automotive industry – one of the country's most vital economic sectors – and also serves as a strategic supply hub for international markets. It is regarded as a regional center of expertise and acts as a bridge between Europe, Asia, and the Arab world. This positioning is further reinforced by an extensive supporting program featuring expert presentations, product launch workshops, and networking events.

The Tüyap Fair Convention & Congress Center, located in the western Istanbul district of Büyükçekmece, offers modern infrastructure and efficient logistical connections. These advantages significantly contribute to the international orientation of the event, which attracts thousands of trade visitors from around the world each year. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 08. June to 11. June 2023, about 1437 exhibitors from 41 countries and 58024 visitors from 141 countries on the automechanika in Istanbul.
