The first bauma, initially called the "Construction Machinery Exhibition," took place on Munich’s Theresienhöhe grounds as a national showcase for construction machinery. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 7 days of the fair, from 08. April to 14. April 2019, about 3684 exhibitors from 62 countries and 627603 visitors from 217 countries on the bauma in Munich.

The bauma takes place every three years, and therefore for the 35th time previsibly in April 2028 in Munich.
