The Embedded World Exhibition and Conference in Nuremberg is recognized as a leading global meeting point for the embedded community and occurs every spring. It is dedicated to the realm of embedded systems, encompassing computer hardware and software integrated into devices to fulfill specific functions within larger systems. Since its inception in 2003 by NürnbergMesse GmbH, the event has evolved into a significant occasion for professionals from various industries, including the automotive sector, information technology, telecommunications, industrial and consumer electronics, as well as military and aerospace technology. The fair serves as a platform for exchanging information on current trends and developments in the field of embedded technologies.
A highlight of the event is the presentation of awards: the Embedded Award for innovative companies and the University Award for students whose developments shape the future of embedded technologies. These prizes highlight the fair's role as a catalyst for innovation.
The fair covers a wide range of topics, from components, embedded computing modules, storage and interface modules to communication solutions and localization modules. Visitors can access information on hardware for secure embedded systems, optoelectronic modules, embedded vision, radar, sensors, power supply, and electronic displays. Services and solutions in software and hardware development, verification, debugging, monitoring, and operation are also presented. Current trends such as Touch & Optical Bonding, Micro LEDs, Industrial Displays, HMI technologies, Optical Measurements, and automotive applications are in focus.
The fair also addresses modern communication technologies for the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), including wired and wireless communication, Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWAN), and cellular mobile communication, including NB-IoT, Cat-M1, 5G, and 6G. Topics such as Safety & Security and IC&IP Design underscore the diversity of the event.
In addition to the exhibition, Embedded World offers an extensive supporting program, including conferences, exhibitor forums, expert panels, a Student Day, and the Women4EW network. These events facilitate professional exchange and provide in-depth insights.
The Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, with its modern infrastructure and central location in Europe, is the ideal venue for the Embedded World Exhibition & Conference. The professional organization by NürnbergMesse GmbH brings together experts, innovators, and decision-makers from around the world. Thus, Embedded World has established itself as an indispensable event for everyone involved in the development, purchase, and use of embedded systems.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 3 days of the fair, from 14. March to 16. March 2023, about 952 exhibitors and 26636 visitors on the embedded world in Nuremberg.
The embedded world takes place annually, and therefore for the 24th time previsibly in March 2026 in Nuremberg.
