GENERA

12.02.2015 08:16:15, Ifema Feria de Madrid

In 18 sessions, leading industry players will discuss the opportunities and prospects of energy efficiency and renewable energy. Organised by IFEMA, GENERA will be held in conjunction with CLIMATIZACIÓN between 24 and 27 February at Feria de Madrid

Between 24 and 27 February, GENERA 2015, the International Energy and Environment Fair, organised by IFEMA, will present a comprehensive program of Technical Conferences in which technical and scientific knowledge will share the spotlight with the sector's most recent developments. The programme, which comprises a total of 18 sessions, will be held in parallel with the commercial exhibition at Feria de Madrid.

Financing mechanisms, energy auditing, monitoring and management systems, innovation, consumption, or the impact of the regulatory framework are some of the topics that will be analysed and discussed by experts and business representatives.

Progress, prospects and opportunities in efficiency and renewable energies
The global outlook for solar thermal power and opportunities for internationalisation will be the focus of the session of the Centre for Energy Research (CIEMAT) at the GENERA 2015 Technical Conference. The Spanish Office of Climate Change (OECC) will also host a conference on progress in implementing the low-carbon development strategy in Spain, aimed at promoting greater environmental sustainability.

The Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDEA) will provide information on the funding mechanisms managed by the Institute for energy efficiency projects and renewable energies. Spanish R&D in the photovoltaic field and the analysis of photovoltaic consumption will be the focus of the sessions of the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF), while the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE ) and the Association of Renewable Energy Producers (APPA) will discuss the role of wind power in the new scenario. APPA will also organise presentations on the current status of the marine energy and biomass sectors and, in collaboration with ICOG, give another conference on geothermal energy.

Cogeneration and microgeneration will be addressed in a conference promoted by the Spanish Association of Cogeneration (EMBRACE) and the Spanish Association for the Promotion of Cogeneration (COGEN). The Association of Energy Service Companies (ANESE) will present its ESCO classification (Energy Service Companies) and discuss the mechanisms and funding structures designed to stimulate the adoption of the ESCO model.

The Association of Energy Efficiency (A3e) will also take part in the programme with the "Energy Systems Monitoring and Management" conference. The analysis of "The Opportunities for Hydrogen in Spain" will be conducted by the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2) and the Integral Maintenance and Energy Services Association (AMI) will make a presentation on "Energy Efficiency in the Hospital Sector".

Analysis of regulatory aspects
GENERA 2015 will host the 7th Solar Power Congress of the Solar Thermal Industry Association (ASIT). In this context, the organisation will participate in the program of Technical Conferences with a presentation on the "Current Developments and Prospects of the Solar Thermal Sector in the Technical Building Code (CTE) and in Incentives and Financing Mechanisms".

European legislation will also be addressed in these sessions. Thus, A3e, together with the Association of Integral Maintenance and Energy Services (AMI) and the Association of Heating and Cooling Network Companies (ADHAC) will promote a meeting on the impact of the transposition of the Efficiency Energy Directive. Along with this, the Energy Agency of the City of Madrid will analyse the challenges and opportunities for cities resulting from Directive 2014/94 on the establishment of an infrastructure for alternative fuels.

Finally, the Spanish Technical Association of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (ATECYR) will discuss the role of energy auditing in the new European regulations.

Along with these Technical Conferences and its commercial offering, GENERA will also host an International Conference on Technology in Energy and the Environment, promoted by the Madri+d Foundation;
GENERA FORUM will offer a program of presentations, solutions and services, and the INNOVATION GALLERY will display a selection of cutting-edge energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability projects.

Madrid, capital of energy efficiency
GENERA will be held simultaneously with CLIMATIZACIÓN, the International Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration at FERIA MADRID, from 24 to 27 February. With both events going on at the same time, the Spanish capital will become a professional meeting point where visitors will be able to benefit from synergies arising from the content of the events, and discover first-hand the latest products, equipment and systems, with technological innovation and environmental and energy commitment as the common themes.
