vocatium Gütersloh

vocatium is a nationally recognized specialist fair for career and study guidance, held annually at the Stadthalle Gütersloh. The name “vocatium” is derived from the Latin word vocatio, meaning “vocation” or “calling” – a clear reference to the fair’s central aim: to support young people in making informed and confident decisions about their individual paths into training, higher education, and careers. The fair is organized by the IfT Institute for Talent Development, which has played a leading role in professional career guidance for school students, university students, and early-career professionals since its founding.

With its structured format, vocatium clearly distinguishes itself from conventional career fairs. Pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between young attendees and exhibitors allow for focused, personalized guidance at eye level. This approach promotes commitment and encourages meaningful dialogue. The fair is further enhanced by workshops, expert talks, and hands-on activities – particularly in the STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) – designed to spark interest in future-oriented professions. Another highlight is the popular speed-dating format with companies and universities, where first impressions count and the first step toward a training position or desired degree program can be made in just a few minutes.

Centrally located and easily accessible by public transport or car, the Stadthalle Gütersloh offers more than 800 square meters of space on the ground floor, along with additional levels for personal meetings, information booths, and event formats.
