vocatium is a specialised careers and higher education fair with a clear mission: to support young people of school-leaving age in a structured, personal way as they move from school into apprenticeships, university study or other professional pathways.

In Saarbrücken, vocatium takes place annually at the Saarlandhalle. It is organised by IfT Institut für Talententwicklung GmbH, a nationwide education provider specialising in personalised careers guidance and professional development since 2008. In addition to Saarbrücken, IfT delivers vocatium at more than 80 locations across Germany, forming part of a comprehensive national network for systematic study and career orientation.

A defining feature of vocatium is its structured format based on pre-arranged appointments. Pupils schedule one-to-one meetings in advance with training providers, universities, vocational colleges, public-sector bodies and advisory services.
