Since 2006, the Italian Capital owns one of the most innovative exhibitions grounds in the whole world. 14 fairground pavilions are placed on an exhibition area of 390,000 sqm. Equipped with the latest technology, the pavilions offer highest standards to visitors and exhibitors. The complex was built in a Mediterranean style by architect Tommaso Vale and is situated between the city centre of Rome and the International Airport Fiumicino. The centre and the airport are easily reachable by public transport. Four parking areas with 5,000 places are available. In the building, travel agencies, banks, and several catering facilities are at disposal. 4,500 hotel rooms are bookable near the fairground. Furthermore, two golf courses, 40 cinemas, and numerous shopping possibilities are available for recreation after the exhibition visit. Rome offers the so-called “Roma Pass” to visitors enabling reduced entrance fees to several museums and exhibitions as well as the usage of its public transport means.
