ArtOnPaper is an international art fair in Brussels dedicated exclusively to works on paper. It is widely recognised as one of Europe's leading events for drawing, printmaking and paper-based art. Held annually at the historic Tour & Taxis venue in Brussels, the fair brings together international galleries, artists, collectors and art professionals from around the world.
ArtOnPaper is organised by VO Communication SA, one of Belgium's leading live marketing and event agencies. With a strong curatorial focus, the fair serves as a platform for dialogue between art history and contemporary practice, presenting works by the Old Masters, Modern artists and contemporary practitioners within a shared curatorial context.
The fair showcases drawings, original works on paper, fine art prints including etchings, lithographs, screen prints and woodcuts, as well as watercolours, gouaches, photographic works on paper and experimental paper art. The programme is further enriched by curated solo exhibitions and thematic presentations from international galleries, with a strong emphasis on conceptual quality and curatorial coherence. Visitors gain a comprehensive overview of both historical and contemporary approaches to paper-based art while also having the opportunity to discover and acquire high-quality original works directly from the exhibiting galleries.
ArtOnPaper plays an important role in strengthening Brussels' position as an international centre for drawing and works on paper. Through its close links with Brussels Drawing Week, as well as numerous museums, cultural institutions and galleries, the fair significantly enhances the international profile of the city's art scene and promotes cultural exchange between Belgian and international artists.
Highlights of ArtOnPaper include curated special exhibitions, a diverse programme of lectures and panel discussions, and its integration into Brussels Drawing Week.
The exhibitors primarily represent the fields of art dealing, galleries, printmaking, contemporary art, photography and art publishing, forming an international line-up of renowned galleries. The fair attracts a broad audience that includes private and institutional art collectors, gallery owners, museum professionals, curators, art consultants, interior designers, architects and art enthusiasts with a particular interest in drawing and works on paper.
Hosted at Tour & Taxis, ArtOnPaper benefits from one of Belgium's most architecturally impressive cultural and event venues. This former industrial complex combines historic architecture with modern infrastructure, providing an exceptional setting for high-quality art exhibitions. Owing to its central location, Tour & Taxis is easily accessible by metro, tram, several bus routes, bicycle, via Brussels-North railway station and from Brussels Airport, making ArtOnPaper readily accessible to both international trade visitors and the wider art-loving public.
The ArtOnPaper will take place on 3 days from Friday, 02. October to Sunday, 04. October 2026 in Brussels.
