BALTEXPO Gdańsk

Established in 1982, the Baltexpo represents the largest International Maritime Exhibition and Conference in Poland and is one of the most prestigious in all of Europe. "Baltexpo" is an abbreviation, referencing the geographical location of the fair, held at the Amberexpo Exhibition and Convention Centre in Gdańsk, a city on the Baltic Sea. This exhibition is organized by Amberexpo, with strong support and under the patronage of the government, local authorities, and specialized maritime sector agencies. It occurs biennially..

Baltexpo covers various areas of the maritime economy, including shipbuilding and the maritime industry, Polish and international offshore organizations, port and maritime infrastructure, industrial construction, small and medium-sized maritime companies, design companies, and the military sector. Exhibitors present their latest achievements and innovations, including developments in the defense and military industry, as well as start-ups and innovative companies in the shipbuilding, marine, port, and offshore industry.

The fair is of significant importance to the city and the country, attracting national and international stakeholders from the maritime industry. Visitors to the fair have the opportunity to learn about career prospects, job offers, internships, as well as training and study programs in the field of maritime economy. A wide range of products and services reflecting the diversity of the maritime industry are presented.

A highlight of the fair is the "Golden Anchor" competition, where awards are given for significant contributions to economic development in various categories of the maritime industry. The main visitors predominantly come from the maritime industry and include both experts and interested laypeople from various related sectors.

On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 3 days of the fair, from 11. September to 13. September 2017, about 281 exhibitors from 19 countries and 4218 visitors on the BALTEXPO in Gdańsk.

The BALTEXPO takes place biennially, and therefore for the 21st time previsibly in October 2025 in Gdańsk.
