CCBF – China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair Shanghai

The China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) is an expo dedicated entirely to the diverse universe of children's literature. Since its inception in 2013 by the organizer Ronbo BolognaFiere Shanghai Ltd., it has evolved into one of the most significant meeting points for the global publishing industry. Annually, usually in November, the CCBF opens its doors at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, a modern and spacious venue that provides ideal conditions for international encounters and business exchanges.

As a leading center for the exchange of children's book copyrights, the CCBF plays a central role in the international promotion of Chinese children's literature and reading culture among young children. The fair attracts a wide range of participants, including illustrators, designers, publishers, authors, literary agents, translators, content developers, packagers, printers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, educational institutions, cultural organizations, librarians, teachers, and, of course, children's book enthusiasts.

The fair's extensive offerings include not only the exhibition itself but also a broad spectrum of accompanying events. These include conferences and seminars that allow professionals to exchange ideas about current trends and challenges in the world of children's literature. A highlight is the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition, which nurtures young talent and provides them a platform. The Illustrators Survival Corner offers practical tips and advice for illustrators, while the prestigious Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award recognizes outstanding contributions to children's literature. The Authors' Festival and the Shanghai Visiting International Publisher Programme (SHVIP) offer additional networking and professional development opportunities.
