The name Dubai signifies both the Emirate at the Persian Gulf and the city. The major part of the inhabitants, almost 2 million people, lives in the capital implying a bay of the Persian Gulf with 14 sq km length. Za´abeel Hall has the most space with altogether 15,000 sqm. A ballroom and further halls also belong to the complex of buildings. The Convention Centre lays between the old town and the new part in the business district of the city. A metro connects DWTC station to the inner city. There are lots of parking places at the Centre.
