The FAMEBA, officially known as the Trade Fair for Bakers, Butchers, and Restaurateurs, takes place every two years in Ulm, in the heart of Southern Germany. Since its inaugural event in 2014, it has become a central marketplace for the food craft industry in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The fair is organized by the cooperative FD-Fleischerdienst – Allgäu/Schwaben eG, in collaboration with other cooperatives. This cooperative is particularly dedicated to promoting the local butcher and gastronomy sectors.
As a venue, the Ulm Exhibition Center offers a modern and easily accessible infrastructure that perfectly meets the needs of exhibitors and visitors. In the spacious halls and extensive outdoor areas, leading suppliers from all relevant specialized and supply sectors showcase their latest products and services. FAMEBA features classic assortments such as meat and sausage products, cheese, and dairy products while also serving as a platform for the latest industry trends and innovations, including state-of-the-art kitchen technology and hygiene solutions.
Noteworthy segments include the snack and catering sectors, gourmet products, and regional specialties, complemented by a wide range of frozen products, canned goods, fish, delicacies, as well as beverages and spirits. Technical innovations in shopfitting, furnishing technology, and packaging and advertising services are also key focuses of the fair.
FAMEBA offers a broad spectrum of services, including consulting in finance, energy, and IT, making it an essential event for professionals in the food industry. The success and significance of the fair are underscored by a high-profile list of exhibitors, including well-known brands such as Bedford, Bürger, and Victorinox.
In summary, FAMEBA in Ulm is a crucial meeting point for professionals in the food craft industry, providing an excellent opportunity to learn about and exchange information on the latest products, trends, and services in an atmosphere that is both collegial and professional.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 2 days of the fair, from 03. March to 04. March 2018, about 176 exhibitors on the FAMEBA in Friedrichshafen.
The FAMEBA takes place biennially, and therefore for the 9th time previsibly in June 2026 in Ulm.
