Fire extinguishers

Although it is highly unlikely that a fire breaks out during a fair or a conference, the event of course has to be prepared for this emergency situation. In addition to fire detection systems, the venue needs to be equipped with fire extinguishers that are easy to find and to reach. Another common device for the fire fighting is the fire blanket that extinguishes a fire by suffocation. Fire extinguishers are distinguished by their extinguishing agent and are therefore suited for different fire classifications. Water, foam and BC or ABC powder are the most common extinguishing agents. For special fires, for example with cooking fat or metallic materials, other fire extinguishers are used. Therefore it is necessary to obtain advice about the right equipment for an event from a professional who also carries out the briefing.
