GARTEN Stuttgart

GARTEN is an annual horticulture and landscaping exhibition held at Messe Stuttgart. It is conceived not as a traditional plant show, but as a curated platform for inspiration, showcasing contemporary, sustainable and future-focused living outdoors.

The event is organised by Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH, one of Germany’s leading exhibition organisers with an international outlook. Drawing on extensive experience in both trade and consumer fairs, it has created GARTEN as a forum where innovation, craftsmanship and expert advice come together.

GARTEN covers the entire horticulture and landscaping value chain. Its core focus is on garden design and planning, featuring realistic show gardens and model landscapes, climate-resilient planting schemes, privacy solutions and architecturally designed outdoor spaces. Visitors gain practical insight into water-efficient irrigation systems, heat-tolerant perennial mixes and pollinator-friendly planting concepts. The exhibition is complemented by plant displays of perennials, herbs, shrubs and seasonal arrangements, alongside professional guidance on soil management, fertilisation and sustainable plant protection.

In addition, the show presents a comprehensive range of outdoor furniture, lounge sets, parasols, pergolas, lighting solutions, barbecue systems and decorative features, as well as planters and trellising systems. Garden tools, machinery, robotic lawn mowers and professional equipment for landscaping are also represented. In this way, GARTEN combines inspiration with tangible purchasing and investment decisions, catering to both keen home gardeners and commercial clients.

The event is further distinguished by themed experience zones such as “Water in the Garden”, featuring ponds and water features, and by naturalistic areas designed to promote biodiversity and garden ecology.
