Dortmund is the 8th largest city in Germany and has around 600,000 inhabitants. The exhibition center comprises nine exhibition halls with a total area of approx. 60,000 square meters and an entrance hall. Trade and public fairs, concerts, athletics competitions, equestrian, and ice sports tournaments as well as political events take place in the Westfalenhallen. The new trade fair entrance offers a light-flooded visitor passage and a 4,500 square meter, transparent north entrance. The exhibition center offers several parking facilities with a capacity of over 4,000 spaces. The Dortmund Exhibition Center can be reached by car via the A40. The site is also easily accessible via Dortmund Airport, Dortmund Central Station and public transport.
