Las Manos del Mundo is an international fair for arts and crafts that takes place every six months in Mexico City at the WORLD TRADE CENTER. It has established itself as a significant platform where artists and craftsmen from all over the world can present and offer their works for sale. The name of the fair, literally translated as "The Hands of the World", reflects the diversity and craftsmanship of the exhibitors.
The fair is organized by the "Las Manos del Mundo" organization. It attracts a wide-ranging audience, including professionals from various sectors as well as lovers of art and crafts. Visitors are offered a unique opportunity to learn about the cultural heritage of different regions while discovering a variety of products and services. The range includes jewelry, accessories, bags, textiles, Alebrijes, ceramics, hammered copper, carpets, and agricultural products such as Mezcal, honey, and coffee.
However, the fair is more than just a sales platform; it is also a cultural event enriched by music and dance performances. Special highlights are the international stands, which present, among other things, Turkish coffee, handmade designs from natural pearls of Gran Canaria, carved wooden pieces from Cuba, and Turkish-Ottoman jewelry. Additionally, textiles from Peru, Cuba, and Italy are on display.
A strong local connection to Mexico City and to Mexico in general is evident through the emphasis on the rich cultural diversity and craftsmanship heritage. The fair attracts exhibitors from various sectors, including arts and crafts, gastronomy, and agriculture.
The Las Manos del Mundo takes place half-yearly, and therefore for the 26th time previsibly in September 2025 in Mexico City.
