The Shanghai International Protected Geographical Indication of Tea Fair, known as PGTF, is a significant exhibition and professional event in the tea industry. It is hosted by the Shanghai Golden Commercial Exhibition Co. Ltd. and takes place annually at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), one of the largest and most modern exhibition complexes worldwide. PGTF stands for "Protected Geographical Indication of Tea Fair," which underscores the emphasis on geographically protected tea varieties and their regions of origin. The products and services showcased at the fair cover the entire value chain of the tea industry. These include six categories: red, green, yellow, black, white, and Oolong tea, as well as products like tea beverages, tea apparel, tea service, tea foods, and tea packaging. Additionally, tea machines and other supporting equipment, along with related industrial products and services, can be found. The fair's visitors are primarily professionals from the tea industry, including tea farmers, tea traders, tea machine manufacturers, tea accessory suppliers, and experts in tea cultivation and processing. The Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center, the fair's venue, is easily accessible and provides modern exhibition spaces as well as excellent infrastructure, contributing to the quality of this first-class professional fair.
The PGTF takes place annually, and therefore for the 21st time previsibly in May 2025 in Shanghai.
