PM China is the world’s largest and most comprehensive trade fair dedicated to powder metallurgy and advanced ceramics. It is widely recognised as the flagship event for an industry that plays a decisive role in the performance of modern products. Once a year, the exhibition brings together international market leaders, highly specialised medium-sized companies, research institutions and industrial end users at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, one of the world’s most modern and expansive exhibition venues, located in Shanghai.
Founded in 2008, PM China has been organised by Uniris Exhibition Shanghai Co. Ltd., a well-established Chinese trade fair organiser with a strong international orientation and deep sector expertise. Under its stewardship, the event has evolved into a global platform where technological innovations are not only showcased, but also critically examined, discussed and further developed. The exhibition focuses on the latest advances in powder metallurgy, cemented carbides, advanced ceramics and related manufacturing and materials technologies. This is complemented by state-of-the-art production equipment, sintering and forming processes, automation and digitalisation solutions, as well as metal powder-based additive manufacturing technologies, including metal 3D printing and binder jetting.
PM China extends far beyond the scope of a conventional product exhibition. It presents the entire industrial value chain, ranging from raw and auxiliary materials to machinery, precision components and tooling, as well as measurement, testing and analytical equipment and specialised services. A defining feature of the event is its extensive conference and forum programme, which brings together leading international experts from industry and academia. Key topics include current research findings, practical applications, market and technology trends, and cross-cutting issues such as sustainability, resource efficiency and digital manufacturing concepts.
Exhibitors represent sectors including mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive and aerospace industries, electronics, medical technology, tool and mould making, and materials and materials development. The visitor profile is equally diverse: engineers, developers, production managers, purchasing professionals, researchers and senior decision-makers attend the fair to compare technical solutions, prepare investment decisions and establish international partnerships.
The overall exhibition experience is further enhanced by its location. Shanghai is one of Asia’s most dynamic economic and technology hubs and, with the National Exhibition and Convention Center, offers a superbly connected venue that is easily accessible via the international airport as well as an extensive underground and rapid transit network. In this way, PM China combines technological excellence with ideal conditions for international exchange, positioning itself as an essential meeting place for all those actively shaping the future of powder metallurgy.
Visitors and exhibitors meet for the eighteenth time on the PM China on 3 days from Tue., 24.03.2026 to Thur., 26.03.2026 in Shanghai.
