SIGEP China is the exclusive Asian edition of the renowned Italian trade fair SIGEP Rimini, which has been recognized since 1979 as a leading international platform for gelato, pastry, bakery, and coffee. Launched in 2023, the Chinese edition is held annually at the state-of-the-art Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center—one of Asia’s largest and most advanced exhibition venues. The event is organized by Koelnmesse (Beijing) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the globally active Koelnmesse Group, in collaboration with the Italian Exhibition Group China.
As a purely professional trade fair, SIGEP China is tailored exclusively for industry experts, offering them a dedicated platform to discover the latest innovations, products, and technologies in the world of artisanal sweets. The Italian roots of the brand name “SIGEP”—an acronym for Salone Internazionale Gelateria, Pasticceria, Panificazione Artigianali e Caffè—remain a core element of its identity. This legacy is preserved in the Chinese edition, while the content and presentation are thoughtfully adapted to meet the specific needs and trends of the Asian market.
Focusing on five main segments—gelato, bakery, pastry, chocolate, and coffee—SIGEP China covers the entire value chain of these indulgent sectors. Exhibitors showcase state-of-the-art gelato machines, premium ingredients, and inventive recipes for handcrafted ice cream. In the bakery section, attention centers on high-performance ovens, dough-processing equipment, and innovative baking ingredients. The pastry area features exquisite raw materials, delicate decorating techniques, and professional tools for fine confectionery. On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 3 days of the fair, from 24. April to 26. April 2024, about 500 exhibitors and 29390 visitors on the SIGEP China in Shenzhen.
The SIGEP China takes place annually, and therefore for the fourth time previsibly in April 2026 in Shenzhen.
