TecnoCarne is Latin America’s leading trade fair for animal protein processing technologies and is regarded as a key meeting point for the global meat and protein industry. Held annually at the modern São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in São Paulo, the event brings together manufacturers, technology providers, suppliers and trade professionals from across the entire meat production value chain.
The exhibition is organised by Informa Markets, one of the world’s leading organisers of trade fairs and industry events. As such, TecnoCarne forms part of a global network of international industrial exhibitions that connect companies, investors and industry professionals from a wide range of markets.
TecnoCarne focuses on technologies for industrial meat and protein processing. Exhibits include advanced machinery and equipment for slaughtering, cutting, portioning and processing, alongside intelligent packaging solutions featuring MAP and vacuum technologies, sustainable packaging concepts, and labelling and traceability systems. The exhibition portfolio is further complemented by refrigeration, cold storage and warehousing technologies, industrial climate control systems, automation and robotics solutions, digital process control, sensor technology, and smart factory applications tailored to the protein industry. In addition, companies showcase innovative ingredients, seasonings, additives, marinades and functional ingredients for modern food production. Quality control, hygiene, food safety, as well as logistics and supply chain solutions also rank among the exhibition’s core focus areas.
TecnoCarne’s significance is closely linked to Brazil and, in particular, to the economic hub of São Paulo. Brazil is one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of meat and animal protein, giving the country a pivotal role in the global food trade. The exhibition therefore provides direct access to one of the most important growth markets in the international protein industry, while also serving as a platform for innovation, technology transfer and international business development.
Key highlights of TecnoCarne include the presentation of new technologies and industry trends, live demonstrations of modern production systems, and extensive networking opportunities for industry professionals, trade representatives and technology suppliers. The exhibition is especially valued for its comprehensive overview of the entire production chain — from raw material processing through to final packaging. The programme is complemented by expert presentations, product showcases and industry-specific conferences addressing current developments in efficiency enhancement, sustainability and the digitalisation of the protein industry.
Exhibitors primarily represent the sectors of mechanical engineering, meat processing, packaging, automation technology, refrigeration and climate control, food technology, logistics and industrial services. Key visitor groups include decision-makers, production managers, buyers, engineers, quality managers and investors from the meat, food and protein industries, as well as representatives from trade, export and the hospitality sector.
The São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center is regarded as one of South America’s most modern exhibition venues, distinguished by its excellent infrastructure, spacious exhibition halls and efficient transport links. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, taxi and car alike. At the same time, São Paulo — Brazil’s largest city — offers a unique combination of economic strength, culture, gastronomy and international flair, making a visit to TecnoCarne appealing not only from a business perspective, but also as a cultural experience.
The TecnoCarne takes place annually, and therefore for the fifteenth time previsibly in June 2027 in Sao Paulo.
