Watches & Jewellery Trade Shows – Appointments from January 2025
Exhibition calender with current Watches & Jewellery Trade Shows from 18.01.2025. Watches are no longer just an accessory that only serves to display the time; rather, watches, with their wide variety of possible uses, have become indispensable for many people today. With the introduction of smartwatches, clocks have become much more important. These are no longer just used to display the time, but can also record activities and monitor bodily functions, such as pulse and heart rate.
Watches & Jewellery Trade Shows worldwide by countryIn combination with smartphones, watches have become a significant communication medium. Watches can be mechanical, electronic, or digital, and are typically made in a variety of shapes and sizes. The clock at Salisbury Cathedral in Wiltshire, England, dating from 1386, is the world's oldest mechanical clock. Watches are also known as timepieces, chronometers, or time indicators. In most cases, watch fairs are purely specialist events where watch manufacturers and dealers present their latest models and watch accessories. Jewelry is also often exhibited at some watch fairs. To draw attention to the latest watch models, watch fairs also often host presentations and award prizes. Some fairs, such as Baselworld in Basel, Switzerland, are very large and mainly deal with high-quality watches. Other fairs, like the Hong Kong Watch and Clock Fair, are smaller and deal more with watches for the mass market. Some watch fairs are also aimed at collectors who are specifically interested in certain watch brands or watch types. Some fairs also offer an insight into the history of watchmaking with exhibits from past centuries. In some cases, watch fairs also offer special individual parts and spare parts that are required for the repair and restoration of watches. These fairs are particularly suitable for watch lovers, watch collectors, and watch dealers. Probably the most important and well-known watch fairs worldwide are Baselworld in Basel, the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair in Hong Kong, and Watches & Wonders, formerly known as SIHH, in Geneva.
