The Wolle-Festival is an annual consumer exhibition dedicated to premium yarns, textile crafts and creative fibre arts. Held at Trabrennbahn Mariendorf in Berlin, the event brings together passionate knitting and crochet enthusiasts, professional designers, textile artists, independent makers and artisan producers, as well as anyone with an appreciation for high-quality textiles and traditional craftsmanship.
Organised by Lorenz GmbH, the Wolle Festival provides a vibrant platform for premium materials, creative inspiration and personal exchange within the fibre crafts community. The exhibition showcases an extensive selection of luxury natural fibres and high-quality yarns, including virgin wool, Merino wool, alpaca, mohair, cashmere, cotton and silk, alongside sustainably produced and hand-dyed yarns. The range is complemented by knitting and crochet accessories, knitting needles, crochet hooks, stitch markers, yarn winders, swifts, scissors, buttons and a wide variety of specialist tools for discerning crafters.
The festival also celebrates both traditional and contemporary textile crafts. Visitors can explore techniques such as knitting, crochet, felting, hand spinning, weaving and knotting, while discovering handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces, exclusive designer collections and bespoke textile creations from independent makers and artisan workshops. Exhibitors share their expertise, present innovative materials and demonstrate new techniques, while showcasing the latest trends from the international fibre arts community.
One of the festival's highlights is its programme of live demonstrations and hands-on workshops, where visitors can try a variety of techniques for themselves under the guidance of experienced designers and specialist exhibitors. The opportunity to exchange ideas, enjoy the event's creative atmosphere and gain first-hand knowledge and inspiration has established the Wolle Festival as one of the leading meeting places for the German-speaking fibre crafts community.
Exhibitors primarily represent the yarn manufacturing and retail sectors, textile design, artisan crafts, haberdashery and accessory production, as well as small-scale manufacturers and specialist craft businesses. The festival attracts a broad audience, including knitters, crocheters, felt makers, weavers, hand spinners, textile artists, designers, workshop tutors, specialist retailers and anyone seeking premium materials and fresh inspiration for their own creative projects.
With its spacious event grounds and rich heritage, Trabrennbahn Mariendorf provides an ideal setting for the Wolle Festival. Its generous indoor halls and outdoor exhibition areas offer ample space for a large number of exhibitors, workshops and live demonstrations, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visitor experience. Conveniently located in Berlin's Tempelhof-Schöneberg district, the venue is easily accessible by both car and public transport, while nearby Underground and bus services provide fast connections from across Berlin and the surrounding region.
The Wolle-Festival will take place on 2 days from Saturday, 03. October to Sunday, 04. October 2026 in Berlin.
