The Wolle-Festival is an annual consumer exhibition dedicated to premium yarns, textile crafts and creative fibre arts. Held at Ulm-Messe in Ulm, the event provides the perfect setting for enthusiasts of all levels, attracting passionate knitters and crocheters, professional designers, textile artists, independent makers and anyone with an interest in high-quality textiles and traditional craftsmanship.
Organised by Lorenz GmbH, the Wolle Festival serves as a meeting place for exceptional materials, creative inspiration and personal exchange within the fibre crafts community. The exhibition showcases a carefully curated selection of premium natural fibres and luxury yarns, including virgin wool, Merino wool, alpaca, mohair, cashmere, cotton and silk, alongside sustainably produced and hand-dyed yarns. The product range is complemented by an extensive selection of knitting and crochet accessories, including knitting needles, crochet hooks, stitch markers, yarn winders, swifts, scissors, buttons and a wide variety of specialist tools for discerning crafters.
The exhibition also celebrates both traditional and contemporary textile techniques. Visitors can explore knitting, crochet, felting, spinning, weaving and knotting, while discovering handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces, exclusive designer collections and bespoke textile creations from independent makers and artisan workshops. Exhibitors share their expertise, present innovative materials and introduce new techniques alongside the latest trends shaping the international fibre arts community.
One of the festival's highlights is its programme of live demonstrations and hands-on workshops, where visitors can try a variety of techniques for themselves while learning directly from experienced designers and specialist exhibitors. The welcoming atmosphere, opportunities for personal interaction and access to expert knowledge make the event one of the leading meeting places for the German-speaking fibre crafts community.
Exhibitors primarily represent the yarn manufacturing and retail sectors, textile design, artisan crafts, accessory production, independent workshops and specialist craft businesses. The festival attracts a broad audience, including knitting and crochet enthusiasts, felt makers, weavers, spinners, textile artists, designers, tutors, specialist retailers and anyone looking for premium materials and fresh inspiration for their own creative projects.
With its spacious, modern exhibition halls and excellent infrastructure, Ulm-Messe provides an outstanding venue for a versatile trade and consumer exhibition. Conveniently located close to the A7 and A8 motorways and well connected to Ulm Central Station and the local public transport network, the exhibition centre is easily accessible by car, rail and bus. Ample on-site parking and its central location in southern Germany make Ulm-Messe an attractive destination for both exhibitors and visitors from across Germany and neighbouring countries.
The Wolle-Festival will take place on 3 days from Friday, 06. November to Sunday, 08. November 2026 in Ulm.
