ZELLCHEMING Expo Wiesbaden

The ZELLCHEMING-Expo is Europe’s leading trade fair and accompanying congress for the pulp, paper, and fiber-based industries. Held annually in the summer at the state-of-the-art RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden, it serves as a highly specialized platform for professionals from across the entire industrial value chain.

The name “ZELLCHEMING” is an acronym derived from “cellulose” and “chemistry” – the two core elements of paper production. This thematic focus also shapes the event program: experts, thought leaders, and decision-makers from across Europe gather to present, discuss, and advance technological innovations, automation solutions, and sustainable materials.

The event is organized by ZELLCHEMING Service GmbH, a well-established organization within the industry committed to supporting the European pulp and paper sector.

At the heart of the Expo are key industry topics such as paper machines, pulp processing facilities, process chemicals, automation technology, sensors, measurement systems, water treatment, recycling solutions, control systems, fiber-based packaging, and AI-driven production software. The content is structured around three main themes: “Pulp & Chemistry,” “Future Technologies & Automation,” and “Sustainability & Circular Economy.” These focus areas offer deep technical insight and timely inspiration, covering topics such as AI-based processes, carbon-reducing technologies, and EU-compliant circular economy strategies.

The exhibition floor features international companies, suppliers, and service providers – ranging from machinery manufacturers and specialty chemical companies to innovative start-ups offering fiber-based solutions.

A particular highlight is the Career Day, held on the third day of the Expo, which targets students and young professionals. Engaging formats such as the Science Flash, Young Talent Award, and interactive networking sessions like the World Café foster exchange between academia and industry. The program is further enriched by hands-on workshops and the Start-up Flash, where young companies give concise presentations of their innovations.

The ZELLCHEMING-Expo is aimed especially at technical and executive professionals from production, engineering, research, development, and education.
