Stoppelmarkt Vechta(regional Fair)
The Stoppelmarkt in Vechta got its name in 1577, when he had to be relocated because of the plague on a stubble field outside the city. The traditional market is very popular in northern Germany. There are several major rides available as well as smaller booths, which provide for the amusement of the audience. In addition to the stalls, there is a trade exhibition.
In the period from Thursday, 14. August 2014 until Tuesday, 19. August 2014, in which the fair Stoppelmarkt in Vechta takes place, there is a Sunday on 17. August 2014. On Sundays and public holidays there might be restricted opening hours of shops and public institutions in Vechta.
