"Tanzmesse NRW" is an international fair for contemporary dance, held every two years in Cologne. The fair is a project of the NRW Regional Office for Dance and shows the work of international dance companies and soloists. In performances, showcases and Open Studios the visitor receives an insight into current and tour enabled projects of selected artists. At the booths they can interact with competent discussion partners of the ensembles and agencies and explore new opportunities for cooperations. Here the dance fair acts as a communication platform of the industry that supports networking between choreographers, dancers, agencies, tour operators and cultural institutions. Today the international dance fair is the hub for dance professionals and dance enthusiasts from around the world and a dance festival of a special kind, which offers the possibility with the wide discussion and lecture program to inform and discuss current issues and future developments in contemporary dance.
