Vienna International Art & Antique Fair
06. - 15. November 2015
07. - 16. November 2014
In one of the oldest and most beautiful parts of Vienna, the Viennese palace quarter in the 1st district, the historic Palais Niederösterreich with its precious frescoes from the Baroque period, is located in the Herrengasse. This magnificent building and the opposite famous Palais Ferstel form the appropriate architectural framework for the WIKAM, which has one of the most beautiful exhibition cafés in the world, the world famous "Café Central". Every year the WIKAM opens its doors in these two palaces. Many renowned art experts from Austria, Germany and Italy take part in this art & antique fair. The fair offers museum art treasures from the ancient world to the present. The Austrian association of antique and art dealers was founded 40 years ago. Since that time it organises fairs in this special field, and therefore it is one of the oldest trade fair organisers in Europe. This long lasting continuity can only be achieved through mutual trust of the organiser, the art dealers and their customers and that speaks in favour of the future as well. The big sales figures and the high number of visitors confirm the successful trade fair concept, which among other things includes a jury acting according to international guidelines. In addition to the high quality, a balanced mix of classical antiques as well as modern and contemporary art is also important to the association. For this reason the wide-ranging exhibition program is interesting in equal measure for museums well private collections.
The wikam in Vienna took place from Friday, 06. November to Sunday, 15. November 2015.
