Every year on the second weekend of Advent, the Karlstadt St. Nicholas Days spread a new pre-Christmas atmosphere in Karlstadt's old town.
The Karlstadt St. Nicholas Days are organized by Stadtmarketing Karlstadt GmbH in collaboration with the Troja e.V. association, Gut Holz and the parish of St. Andreas.
The Christmas stall village with many exhibitors and the action stage is presented centrally on the market square around the church under the scents of pine needles, mulled wine and crepes. There is also a varied stage program and a visit from Santa Claus, who again distributes his gifts to the children. The smell of mulled wine and gingerbread is in the air and culinary delicacies such as brine meat cooked over the fire, bratwurst varieties or freshly baked waffles round off your visit to Karlstadt. In the parish of St. Andreas, visitors can admire an international nativity scene exhibition while visiting the St. Nicholas Market.
The Christmas market has a long tradition and offers its visitors a nice way to get in the mood for the festive season. The Christmas market program is rounded off by stalls selling Christmas items and handcrafted Christmas products.
