Cremona Musica Cremona
26. - 28. September 2025 | International trade fair for musical instruments and accessories

Cremona Musica is the world’s most important event for lovers of musical instruments and takes place every September in Cremona, in the heart of Italy. The fair welcomes thousands of music enthusiasts, professionals, and instrument makers. It is organized by CremonaFiere S.p.A., a company with proven expertise in trade fairs and in-depth knowledge of the music industry. The event successfully creates a platform where tradition meets innovation, and the past merges with the future.
The program of Cremona Musica is as diverse as the world of music itself. Its main sections include Mondomusica, Piano Experience, Acoustic Guitar Village, Cremona Winds, and Accordion Show. Visitors can explore an impressive range of handcrafted instruments – from traditional to contemporary designs – created by professional luthiers and specialized institutions such as music academies.
Cremona is deeply rooted in the history of instrument making and is regarded as the birthplace of violin making, a reputation largely attributed to the Stradivari family. Antonio Stradivari, who worked in Cremona during the 17th and 18th centuries, is often considered the greatest violin maker of all time. His instruments are still highly valued for their exceptional sound quality and craftsmanship. Other renowned violin makers such as Niccolò Amati and Giuseppe Guarneri also hailed from Cremona. As early as the 16th century, Andrea Amati laid the foundation for this legacy by establishing the Cremonese school of violin making, and he is credited with inventing the modern violin.
The Amati, Stradivari, and Guarneri families shaped the art of violin making over generations and played a key role in establishing Cremona’s international reputation. This artisanal tradition is still alive today, passed down through generations. Cremona remains a center for the creation of high-quality string instruments and is home to the prestigious International School of Violin Making.
In 2012, the traditional violin-making craft of Cremona was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity – a testament to the city's cultural and artistic importance. Cremona Musica plays a vital role in keeping this legacy alive while simultaneously showcasing the latest developments in the industry.
The CremonaFiere exhibition center, a modern and easily accessible venue, provides the perfect setting for this prestigious event. Set against the historic backdrop of Cremona, the fair offers a unique experience – not only for professionals such as instrument makers, music educators, and musicians but also for anyone who shares a passion for musical instruments.
