The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is one of the world's largest and most important events for mobile technology. The annual conference and exhibition on topics of mobile internet, mobile communication, mobile technologies and mobile entertainment, which takes place in February, has become one of the most significant dates in the industry. Until 2007, the GSMA Mobile World Congress was known in Spanish as the 3GSM World Congress, Congreso Mundial de Móviles (CMM). The organizer of the MWC in Barcelona is the Groupe Speciale Mobile Association (GSMA), an international association that promotes mobile communication and mobile technologies.

The Mobile World Congress is about all topics related to mobile technologies, mobile internet, mobile communication, and mobile entertainment. Highlights of the specialist event include conferences, panel discussions, demo rooms, exhibitions, and the presentation of the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMO).
