German Rum Festival Berlin

The German Rum Festival is Germany’s leading trade fair for rum, rhum, and cachaça. Since its founding in 2011 by Spirit of Rum Event GmbH, the festival has evolved into a central meeting point for spirits enthusiasts and industry professionals. The event takes place annually at STATION Berlin—a historic yet modern venue in the heart of the capital, whose industrial charm provides the perfect setting for a festival dedicated to discovery and enjoyment.

The German Rum Festival is distinguished by its clear focus on the international diversity of sugarcane spirits. More than 70 exhibitors present over 500 bottlings from all major production regions. High-quality rums from the Caribbean, rare single cask editions, innovative rhum releases, and the latest cachaça trends all come together, offering both connoisseurs and professionals countless opportunities for exploration. In addition to classic tastings, visitors can look forward to a wide range of masterclasses, guided tastings—including the “Glorious Seven” package with seven complimentary samples—and seminars on production methods, barrel aging, and sustainability in rum production.

The festival serves not only as a product showcase, but also as a platform for knowledge exchange. In around 25 seminars and masterclasses, renowned experts delve into topics such as fermentation, distillation, barrel management, and food pairing. World and European premieres are presented on a regular basis, and guests have the rare opportunity to sample all rums awarded the prestigious German Rum Award. The Smokers Lounge invites guests to enjoy selected cigars in a fitting atmosphere, while a diverse culinary offering ensures variety throughout the event.
