The International Gem & Jewelry Show – InterGem® is one of the best-known direct-to-consumer trade shows for jewellery, gemstones and jewellery-making supplies in the United States. Unlike traditional trade fairs, it brings manufacturers, wholesalers and independent jewellery designers together directly with visitors, allowing customers to purchase high-quality products without intermediaries.
The event is held at the NRG Center in Houston, Texas, and takes place several times a year. It is organised by InterGem, Inc., a company specialising in jewellery exhibitions that has been running a nationwide series of shows for decades. With events hosted in numerous cities across the United States, InterGem® has established itself as one of the country's largest and most respected jewellery shows. The exhibition welcomes both trade professionals and private buyers, offering access to an exceptionally wide range of products.
The exhibition showcases an extensive selection of loose gemstones, including diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds and opals, alongside many other precious and semi-precious stones. The product range also includes fine jewellery, designer collections, bespoke jewellery, engagement and wedding rings, men's and women's jewellery, as well as vintage, antique and estate jewellery. In addition, exhibitors present pearls, pearl jewellery, wristwatches, jewellery accessories and gift items. Another key focus is on glass and natural stone beads, crystals, pendants, clasps, settings and other jewellery-making components. Tools, materials, craft and DIY supplies, together with findings and connectors, complete the offering for goldsmiths, jewellery designers and jewellery-making enthusiasts.
Among the show's key attractions are the opportunity to purchase jewellery and gemstones directly from manufacturers and designers, receive expert advice through personal consultations, and explore an outstanding selection of exclusive one-of-a-kind pieces and bespoke jewellery.
Exhibitors primarily represent the fields of jewellery design and manufacturing, gemstone, diamond and pearl trading, watches, jewellery accessories, goldsmithing and silversmithing, minerals, as well as tools and materials for jewellery production. The show's visitors include private jewellery enthusiasts, collectors, investors, jewellers, goldsmiths, jewellery designers, buyers and specialist retailers from the jewellery and gemstone industries. This unique combination of trade professionals and purchasing consumers gives the exhibition its distinctive character.
InterGem® forms part of a nationwide exhibition series held annually in numerous cities across the United States. This well-established concept enables exhibitors to reach a wide range of regional markets while giving visitors convenient access to a high-quality selection of products from international jewellery and gemstone suppliers.
The NRG Center is one of Texas's most modern exhibition and event venues, offering spacious exhibition halls and state-of-the-art facilities for national and international events. Located in southern Houston, the venue is easily accessible by car via the Interstate highway network as well as by public transport, including the METRORail system. The nearby George Bush Intercontinental Airport, together with a wide selection of hotels in the surrounding area, ensures convenient travel for exhibitors and visitors alike, making the venue an ideal location for the International Gem & Jewelry Show – InterGem®.
The International Gem & Jewelry Show - InterGem® will take place on 3 days from Friday, 16. October to Sunday, 18. October 2026 in Houston.
