Leben(s)feiern Mattsee

“Leben(s)feiern – The Fair for Private Celebrations” is an annual public exhibition held in Mattsee, Austria, dedicated to planning and organising special occasions. The event focuses on weddings, christenings, birthdays and personal anniversaries, offering inspiration, expert advice and opportunities to meet local service providers.

The fair takes place at the historic Mattsee Castle in Salzburg’s Lake District, where the elegant surroundings provide an attractive setting for showcasing wedding and event services. It is organised by Salzburg-based Stephanie Hansen, a professional wedding and event planner specialising in the design and delivery of bespoke celebrations. A defining feature of the fair is its regional focus, bringing together suppliers from Mattsee, Salzburg and the surrounding area within a radius of approximately 100 to 110 kilometres. This approach supports local businesses, encourages regional partnerships and makes event planning more convenient.

The exhibition covers wedding and event planning, bridal and designer fashion, hair and make-up, photography and videography, as well as decorations and floristry. Other areas include wedding cakes, patisserie, catering services, jewellery, accessories, wedding stationery and event styling. DJs, live musicians, entertainment providers and childcare services are also represented. Exhibitors primarily come from the wedding and events industry, fashion and beauty, hospitality, floristry, photography and videography, alongside other sectors specialising in private celebrations.

The fair is primarily aimed at members of the public planning a wedding, christening, birthday party or other special occasion, particularly engaged couples, families and parents. It also provides wedding planners, event suppliers and other industry professionals with opportunities to network, establish business contacts and develop regional partnerships.

Key attractions include personalised advice from experienced professionals, a wide range of creative ideas and the opportunity to compare services directly. Visitors can explore the latest offerings, discuss their individual requirements and find suitable suppliers for their celebrations. The castle’s historic surroundings further enhance the visitor experience.

“Leben(s)feiern” combines a comprehensive range of services for private celebrations with a strong emphasis on local suppliers. Mattsee Castle is situated in the town of Mattsee, north of Salzburg, on the shores of Lake Mattsee. It can be reached by car via the regional road network or by public transport from Salzburg. The fair therefore provides a convenient one-stop destination for anyone looking to plan a personalised celebration, discover potential suppliers and explore professional event planning services.

The Leben(s)feiern will take place on Sunday, 15. November 2026 in Mattsee.
