Pharmaceutical Machinery and Equipment China, or PMEC China for short, is one of the most important trade fairs for pharmaceutical machinery and equipment in Asia. It takes place annually at the renowned Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and is organized by Informa Markets, a trading division of Informa PLC, a leading global exhibition organizer. The trade fair is exclusively reserved for trade visitors and is considered a central platform for players in the pharmaceutical industry – from global companies to innovative start-ups.

As part of CPhI China, PMEC China covers the entire pharmaceutical value chain. This concept not only promotes targeted information exchange, but also creates ideal conditions for networking, business development, and knowledge transfer – for example, through formats such as the Hosted Buyer Program, which enables personal meetings between international buyers and Chinese manufacturers.

The focus is on specialized topics that reflect current and future industry requirements: pharmaceutical production facilities, packaging technologies, process automation, laboratory and analytical technology, and digital solutions in the context of Pharma 4.0. Among the products presented will be sterilization systems (CIP/SIP), lyophilization techniques, serialization solutions, MES systems, robotics, and digital twins – key technologies for GMP-compliant production and addressing regulatory and market-specific challenges.

A special highlight is the Start-Up Market, which offers young companies the opportunity to present their innovative solutions to investors and industry decision-makers.
