PYROS in Brno is an international trade fair held every two years. Since its inception in 1972, it has become one of the most important meeting points for fire protection, rescue technology, and integrated emergency systems in the Czech Republic. Organized by the experienced event host Veletrhy Brno, a.s., the fair takes place at the Brno Exhibition Centre (BVV), a key venue for professional events in Central and Eastern Europe.
As a strictly professional event, PYROS is aimed at experts and decision-makers from sectors such as fire services, disaster response, police, and other security-related fields. It offers a concise overview of the latest technical advancements along with hands-on insights into innovative solutions for emergency and crisis management. Exhibits include state-of-the-art firefighting equipment, personal protective gear, and advanced systems for hazardous materials transport and flood protection.
A distinctive feature of PYROS is its close integration with the concurrently held IDET (defence and security technology fair) and ISET (security technology and services fair). This combination creates a comprehensive platform for exploring safety, rescue, and defence technologies—establishing a competence hub of European caliber.
A highlight of the upcoming 2025 edition is the debut of the new amphibious vehicle KALAN by New Space Technologies, designed for both civilian and military applications. Additional focal points include realistic training through advanced simulators, disaster relief solutions, hazardous materials logistics, and strategic emergency planning. PYROS 2025 thus offers a compelling outlook on the current state and future development of security-related technologies.
More than just a showcase, the fair serves as a specialized industry network—bringing together expert knowledge, technological innovation, and international connections at one of Europe’s leading exhibition venues.
The PYROS takes place biennially, and therefore for the twentieth time previsibly in May 2027 in Brno.
