Affordable Art Fair Vienna

The Affordable Art Fair Vienna is an annual public and trade fair for contemporary art, which celebrated its debut in May 2025 at the historic MARX HALLE in Vienna’s third district. As part of an internationally successful series founded by Ramsay Fairs Ltd. in London in 1999, Vienna now joins the ranks of established art cities such as New York, Stockholm, Melbourne, London, and Amsterdam. The fair aims to make art accessible to a broad audience – from seasoned collectors to curious newcomers. This is reflected in its transparent pricing: all exhibited works range from €100 to €10,000, with a particular emphasis on pieces priced below €500 and €1,000.

National and international galleries present a wide spectrum of painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, and textile art. At its core, the fair combines high-quality art with low-threshold accessibility – a concept further supported by a diverse program of events. A standout feature is the "Emerging Artist" section, which offers a prominent platform to up-and-coming artists and provides visitors with insights into future artistic developments. Throughout the event, live art demonstrations take place, with creatives such as LEAP artprints and Beate von Harten showcasing their techniques on-site – from traditional printmaking to textile design.

Another highlight is the IKEA Art Living Room, a space for in-depth conversations with experts, collectors, and artists on topics like street art and textile expression. Families benefit from a specially curated program in collaboration with the Kunstforum Wien, offering free workshops for children and teens, inspired in part by Anton Corbijn’s exhibition “Favorite Darkness”. The experience is rounded out by high-quality culinary offerings: vendors such as Mochi, Wiener Würstelstand, Eisbazar, and Roku Gin contribute to the fair’s inviting atmosphere.

The MARX HALLE, with its industrial architecture and expansive exhibition space, provides an ideal setting for a contemporary fair that blends art appreciation, education, and inspiration.
