Wine is usually served as an accompaniment to various foods and drinks. Wine fairs are events where winemakers, wine merchants and wine connoisseurs come together to taste, discuss and taste different wines. Most wine fairs also offer tastings, seminars, cooking shows and other interesting activities. Wine festivals are also a popular form of wine fairs where consumers can taste different wines. Wine fairs typically exhibit wines from different countries, but also wine products such as spirits, sparkling wine, fruit wines, liqueurs, and apéritifs. Wine accessories such as wine glasses, bottle openers, carafes, and wine thermometers can also be purchased at wine fairs. Probably the best-known and most important wine fairs worldwide are the ProWein in Düsseldorf, the Vinexpo in Bordeaux, the London Wine Fair, the Vinitaly in Verona and the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair.
