Three times a year, the Praterinsel in the heart of Munich transforms into a paradise for wine lovers. At WeinMünchen, held in March, October, and November, national and international wine enthusiasts, specialty retailers, sommeliers, and representatives of fine dining establishments come together for a wine fair with a distinctive character. The event is organized by the renowned weberMESSE GmbH, based in Bonn, whose “weinMESSEN” series sets nationwide standards for high-quality, enjoyment-oriented events for both professionals and the general public.

The autumn edition of WeinMünchen is not a traditional trade fair but a curated wine vernissage that welcomes both industry professionals and a wine-savvy public. Set in the atmospheric vaulted cellars of the former Riemerschmid liqueur factory, idyllically located on the Praterinsel, it offers a unique setting—perfect for personal exchanges with producers and the discovery of exceptional wines.

At the heart of the event are handpicked wines from all major German wine-growing regions, including the Mosel, Nahe, Rheinhessen, Franconia, Palatinate, Baden, Württemberg, Rheingau, as well as the Saar and Ruwer valleys. This selection is complemented by international top-tier wines from Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Australia, South Africa, Chile, and New Zealand. Independent winemakers, family-run estates, traditional cooperatives, and selected distillers showcase their current vintages and innovative creations—available for tasting, discussion, and ordering directly on site.
