The QUARTERshoestart is a shoe trade fair launched in 1995. Since then, it has become one of the most important events in the shoe industry in Central Germany. Taking place under the umbrella brand "QUARTER," which unites all MMC order days, the event is held in Schkeuditz, near Leipzig. The name QUARTERshoestart emphasizes its focus on the shoe industry ("shoe") and the start ("start") of each season, while "QUARTER" represents the semi-annual cycle of the event, which takes place in February and August. The fair is organized by Regtrade AG, whose mission is to provide a platform for retailers and buyers to explore the latest trends and developments for the upcoming season and make their initial purchasing decisions. At the QUARTERshoestart, approximately 200 brands are showcased, offering a comprehensive overview of the shoe market. The main objectives include the presentation of new collections, providing selection guidance, and fostering the establishment of long-term business relationships. Additionally, the event features a fashion lecture from the German shoe industry, offering tips and support for placing orders. Exhibitors at the QUARTERshoestart primarily hail from the shoe and fashion industry. They come from the new federal states, including Berlin, as well as Lower Saxony, Hesse, Northern Bavaria, and the coastal regions. The visitors, retailers, and buyers from the shoe and fashion industry use the fair as an opportunity to stay abreast of the latest trends, place orders, and establish new business connections.
