Böblinger Weiterbildungstag Böblingen

The Böblingen Continuing Education Fair (Böblinger Weiterbildungstag) is a regional public exhibition dedicated to continuing professional development, vocational training and career change. The event is aimed at people looking to explore new career opportunities, develop their skills or learn more about professional growth and career progression. Whether entering a new industry, returning to work after a career break, seeking promotion or changing careers entirely, visitors can explore relevant training programmes and receive personalised advice from continuing education specialists.

The fair takes place at the VfB – Verein zur Förderung der Berufsbildung e. V. (Association for the Promotion of Vocational Education and Training) in Böblingen. It is organised by the Stuttgart/Böblingen Continuing Professional Development Network, which connects regional education and training providers and promotes access to vocational training opportunities.

The event focuses on practical opportunities for professional development. Visitors can find out about further training courses, retraining programmes, part-time study options and additional vocational qualifications. The range of subjects covers business administration, technical disciplines, IT, digitalisation, foreign languages, management and communication skills. Alongside information about available courses, one-to-one consultations provide tailored guidance, helping visitors identify training pathways that match their career goals.

Exhibitors primarily include regional training organisations, vocational schools, academies and specialist education providers. The fair caters to employees, jobseekers, people returning to work, career changers and skilled professionals looking to gain additional qualifications or pursue new career opportunities. It also provides employers and HR professionals with information on staff training, skills development and workforce upskilling.

Böblingen is situated in one of Baden-Württemberg's most economically dynamic regions. The Böblingen district and the wider Stuttgart region are home to numerous businesses operating in manufacturing, technology, retail and services. As digital transformation reshapes the labour market and employers' skills requirements continue to evolve, continuing professional development is becoming increasingly important. The Böblingen Continuing Education Fair responds to these changes by bringing regional training providers together with people seeking to enhance their professional expertise and improve their employment prospects.

One of the fair's main advantages is the opportunity to speak directly with education and training professionals. Visitors can compare different training pathways and qualifications in one place, discuss their individual circumstances and obtain information about entry requirements and career development prospects.

The VfB venue, located at Hanns-Klemm-Straße 1A, 71034 Böblingen, offers training, conference and event facilities suitable for individual consultations and professional discussions. It is accessible by car and public transport.

The Böblingen Continuing Education Fair therefore serves as a regional information and advice platform for anyone wishing to take an active role in shaping their career, explore suitable training opportunities and plan their next steps towards professional advancement.

The first edition and therefore the premiere of the Böblinger Weiterbildungstag takes place on Tue., 23.02.2027 in Böblingen.
