Bello – Der Hundetag Dorsten

Bello – Der Hundetag is a unique annual trade fair that has been attracting dog lovers from across Germany to the historic CreativQuartier Fürst Leopold in Dorsten since 2022. The name “BELLO” not only symbolizes man’s loyal companion, but also stands for “Begegnung, Erlebnis, Lernen, Lifestyle und Organisation” – meaning “Encounter, Experience, Learning, Lifestyle, and Organization”. These core ideas are reflected throughout the event.

Organized by MesseCom Nord under the direction of Rainer Zinke, Bello – Der Hundetag has quickly grown into one of the most important dog-focused expos in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Each year, the former mining site transforms into a vibrant world of experiences dedicated entirely to life with dogs. Over 80 carefully selected exhibitors from all over Germany showcase their products – from premium pet food and functional gear to innovative toys. Visitors will find everything a dog’s heart (and its owner’s) could desire.

A key element of the event is the series of expert talks, offering hands-on insights into topics like nutrition, alternative healing methods, training, and dog sports. The program is complemented by personal consultations with professionals in veterinary care, behavior therapy, and canine training. Animal welfare organizations are also on-site, presenting their work and sharing information about adoption opportunities – a matter especially close to the organizers’ hearts.

Interactive demonstrations are among the most popular attractions. Dogs showcase their skills in activities such as mantrailing, agility courses, and trick training. Competitions, live presentations, and creative photo spots add extra excitement.
